Vice President Joseph Boakai Leaves for France

Monrovia, Liberia - Vice President Josph N. Boakai at the head of a five-man delegation left the country Monday evening for France to represent President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at this year's France-Africa Summit.

The France-Africa  Summit held each year, aims to forge closer ties between  Africa and France. This year's conference begins with the  Ministerial meeting which takes place today and tomorrow, while the Heads of State Sumit will be held on the 15th and 16th February.

Vice President Boakai is being accompanied by Dr. Edward McClain, Deputy Minister of State without Portfolio, who is also International Adviser to the
President, Liberia's Ambassador to France, McKinley Thomas and the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Vice President, Mr. Sam Stevquoah.
