President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has paid tribute to the late Edward Sundaygar Bueh, former member of the House of Representatives. The President described the lawmaker, a former representative of District number 4 in Grand Bassa County, as a true leader. The Liberian leader said the Late Representative Bueh served where service mattered most. Such true leadership, the President pointed out, comes from those who serve the people.

According to an Executive Mansion release, President Johnson Sirleaf was speaking on Tuesday at the African Gospel League Church in New Cess, Grand Bassa County, at the funeral service of the fallen lawmaker.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said she was attending the funeral, because it was her responsibility as leader of the country to join hands with those experiencing grief.

The President also toured a bridge building project, spearheaded by the Late Representative Bueh until his death.

The funeral of the Late Representative Edward Sundaygar Bueh brought together political leaders from the Grand Bassa Legislative Caucus, the Liberty Party, members of the House of Representatives, members of the Liberian Senate, the Unity Party and some cabinet ministers.

Representative Bueh died on March 27 at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital following a protracted illness.
