AMSOE-AMUPA Honors Vice President Boakai

Monrovia, Liberia - The Association of the Masses in Support of Ellenís Re-election (AMSOE) and its United States branch AMUPA on Monday gowned Vice President Joseph N. Boakai for the support he accorded the organization during the just-ended General and Presidential Elections.

During the colorful ceremony held in the Vice Presidentís Capitol Building office, the Chairman of AMSOE, Mr. Vincent Smith commended President Ellen Johnson Sirlreaf and Vice President Boakai for emerging victorious in the 2011 presidential poll which was certified as ďfree, fair and transparentĒ by more than 4,000 local and international observers.

In his response, Vice President Boakai thanked AMSOE/AMUPA for mobilizing men and resources to ensure the re-election of the Unity Party-led Government which is putting in place policies to move Liberia to higher heights of development.

Vice President Boakai expressed the hope that other Liberians would begin to take initiatives that would benefit their country, noting that if Liberians take such initiatives, they would put their country on the path of speedy development.

AMSOE/AMUPA is a grouping of Liberians who belong to opposition political parties but who mobilized other Liberians to re-elect President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
