Vice President Joseph N. Boakai Certificates 6 Nigerian Soldiers serving in UNMIL for dedication to duty.

Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has certificated six Soldiers of the Nigerian Army serving with the United Nations Mission in Liberia for their dedication to duty and discipline.

The Vice President pointed out that the services they have rendered the Liberian people is a continuation of what Nigeria continues to do for Liberia.He said he personally admire the manner in which the six soldiers carry out their functions with a high level of discipline and professionalism.

In presenting the certificates of appreciation, the Vice President reminded the soldiers that Africans are one people and that we should strive for peace and stability.In response, the Commander of the detachment, Staff Sergeant,  Usman Samako  thanked the Vice President for the honor and the opportunity afforded them to serve in Liberia, a release from the Vice Presidentís Office said.

Meanwhile, the Board of the Liberia Marketing Association has commended President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf   and Vice President Joseph N. Boakai for the timely intervention in the LMA that resulted in the signing of the amended act into law.

The Board made the commendation today when they introduced a committee to the Vice President that has been formed to put the proper mechanism into place for the upcoming LMA convention where a new leadership is expected to be elected.

Responding Vice President Boakai   said that the LMA is a socio economic institution that is at the center of microeconomic activities that should take responsibility for the importation of certain commodities in Liberia, the release concluded.
