New Egyptian Ambassador Calls on Vice President Boakai

Monrovia , Liberia - Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has praised the Government and people of Egypt for their continuous support towards Liberia reconstruction program.

He said, Egypt continue to sstand with Liberia to promote international peace and and stability and that during the difficult days of the war in Liberia, Egypt never close its Embassy in Monrovia.
Vice President Boakai was speaking Monday on Capitol Hill when the new Egyptian Ambassador, Sameh Lotfi paid a courtesy call on him.

The Vice President spoke of the many areas of cooperation that Egypt has been involved in with Liberia including the health care delivery system by making doctors available, the provision of scholarships to train Liberian in various fields including agriculture and  the Foreign Service.

Earlier, Ambassador Lotfi said he will work to strengthen the already cordial ties between Liberia and Egypt, and added that he already feel that he is among his brothers and sisters in Liberia.
This is the fourth diplomat the Vice President has met in less than a week.
