Monrovia, Liberia-Thursday, December 9, 2016: President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has received from the General Auditing Commission, the Audit Report on renovation works at the Executive Mansion. The audit was commissioned by the Liberian leader earlier in 2016.
According to an Executive Mansion release, President Sirleaf is currently reviewing the report along with the Minister of State Without Portfolio, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa to establish the necessary actions and measures to be taken.

She pointed out that the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) and others who played key roles in the renovation process will be required to provide explanation for issues raised in the report and help with the review process.

As renovation on the Executive Mansion is still ongoing, President Sirleaf has also directed that all payment transactions regarding the project are channeled and handled by the implementing entities through the Ministry of Public Works viz-a-vis the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning.

President Sirleaf further assured that following the review of the audit report, actions will be taken to ensure accountability for public resources.
