Two Officials Appointed

Monrovia, Liberia - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has made two additional appointments in government pending confirmation by the Liberian National Senate.

According to an Executive Mansion release, Cllr. Mardea Tarr Chenoweth has been appointed Resident Circuit Court Judge at the 13th Judicial Circuit in Margibi County. Cllr. Chenoweth is filling in the vacancy created as a result of the death of Judge James G. Mooney.

The President has also named an Assistant Minister for American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is Mr. Marcus M. Koffa. In a letter to Mr. Koffa, the President expressed the hope that he will justify the confidence reposed in him and will carry out his responsibilities to the credit of himself and the country.
