President Sirleaf on the Holy Month of Ramadan

Monrovia, Liberia - Muslims in Liberia will beginning tomorrow join millions of Muslims around the world to commence the Holy Month of Ramadan, in keeping with the teachings of the Faith.

In observance of the occasion, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has called on Muslims throughout the country to continue to pray for peace and reconciliation of Liberians, irrespective of social class, tribal background or religious affiliation.

According to an Executive Mansion release, the President congratulated Muslims for embarking on the spiritual journey of fasting and praying. The President prayed that Allah, the Almighty, will continue to shower His manifold blessings upon the nation and its people throughout the period and beyond. The Liberian leader expressed the hope that the spirit of Ramadan would strengthen the process of national reconciliation and healing in Liberia.
