MONROVIA, LIBERIA: President George Manneh Weah is expected to depart the country on Saturday, May 12, 2018 for the Republic of Sierra to attend the inauguration of his Excellency, Julius Maada Bio.
The Inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Capital, Freetown.

President Weah’s trip is a result of an invitation extended him by his Sierra Leonean counterpart, President Maada Bio during his One-day working visit to Liberia on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. The two leaders used the time to share ideas on ways they can work together to enhance greater security and economic cooperation between the two Mano River Union Members States.

The Liberian leader will join other counterparts from the West African sub-region also expected to grace the occasion that sheds light on Sierra Leone’s democratic triumph after a somehow mind-boggling election.

The President is accompanied by Hon. Bhofal Chambers, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Albert Chie, President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Hon. Gbehzongar Findley, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel D. Tweah, Minister of Finance and Development Planning, and Hon. Emmanuel Shaw, Advisor to the President. Others are Hon. Daniel D. Ziankahn, Minister of National Defense, Hon. Len Eugene Nagbe, Minister of Information, among others.

Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and Chief of Staff, Hon. Nathaniel Farlo McGill, will chair the Cabinet in close consultation with the Vice President, Madam Jewel Howard Taylor, and via telephone contact with the President.
