President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf travels to Bong County

Monrovia, Liberia - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf travels to Bong County tomorrow to inspect a number of ongoing development projects in the area.

The visit will take the president to a number of towns including Suakoko, Wainsue, Pelelei, Belefanai, Gbalatuah, among others.

While in Bong, the President will inspect a number of community development initiatives including the European Union sponsored, Suakoko – Nyendewon Road. The Liberian leader will also perform the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the Beh-la Bridge on the Kokoyah Road and tour the Gbarnay Self-help Road and bridge projects in Wainsue, on the Lofa Road.

The President will also tour a rice farm which has received seeds from the Ministry of Agriculture, and inspect the William R. Tolbert High School in Gbalatuah.

President Johnson Sirleaf is expected to also tour the Commissioner’s office, which has been renovated under a Community Development project, targeting one-hundred communities throughout the country, and visit the construction site of a market building in Belefanai.

The visit to Bong County, is in line with the President’s determination to get a first hand insight of development activities in the political sub-divisions, in keeping with a promise to visit all political sub-divisions of the country and “take her office to the people,” in an exercise closed aides to the President refer to as “Executive Mansion on the Road.”
