Monrovia, Liberia - Liberiaís Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has assured would be investors of a conducive investment climate in post-war Liberia.

He said the Unity Party led government places premium on security and improving the countryís image internationally.

He expressed optimism that investors who are still dragging their feet will soon realize that Liberia is now secure and ready for investment.

Vice President Boakai gave the assurance Monday when a delegation of the Full Gospel Menís Fellowship International paid a courtesy call on him at his Sinkor office.

The five-man delegation which included Mr. Roger Sonnesyn of the United States, was led by the National President of the Liberia Full Gospel Business Menís Fellowship, Ambassador Christian H. Neufville.

Vice President Boakai said several investors have already expressed their desire to do business in Liberia, and that the only reason why large-scale investors have not begun business in Liberia is because the government this time around wants to ensure that the interest of the people will be fully protected.

The Vice President described Mr. Sonnesynís visit as a blessing to Liberia, because he noted it, it demonstrates that the situation in Liberia is improving.

Speaking earlier, Ambassador Neufville said it is a patriotic duty for every Liberian to go out and boost Liberiaís image, adding, ďThis is what we have been doingĒ.
