Vice President Boakai Fetes FFW Founder

Monrovia, Liberia - Liberiaís Vice President Joseph N. Boakai Thursday night hosted a dinner in honor of the visiting Founder and Executive Director of the San Diego based Foundation for Women (FFW) Deborah Lindholm and entourage at his private residence in ELWA.

In remarks, Vice President Boakai expressed gratitude to Madam Lindholm and the Foundation for Women for the interest they have demonstrated in Liberia, and assured that Liberians would always be grateful to them for bringing the micro-credit program to Liberia.

Also in remarks, Madam Lindholm said her excitement about the e election of Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as the first female president of an African nation and her desire to assist her attain her development goals, led to extension of the Micro-credit program to Liberia.

Madam Lindholm said she plans to touch the lives of all Liberian woman throughout the country.

Also making remarks earlier, the Country Director of the Foundation for Women, Mrs. Emily Peal, disclosed that 100 women are benefiting from the Micro-Credit program launched by the Foundation for Women less than six months ago.

The Foundation For Women is empowering Liberian market women by extending to them micro-credit.
