Missionaries of Charity Meet President Sirleaf

Monrovia, Liberia - A delegation of the Catholic sponsored Missionaries of Charity has lauded President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for the support government has provided the Charity in the performance of duties. The Sisters also praised the President for the progress government continues to make in improving the overall conditions in the country, noting that the achievements have been noted worldwide.

Speaking Wednesday at the Foreign Ministry during a courtesy call, Mother Mary Nimala Joshi, who is ending a tour of duty, noted with satisfaction the assistance government continues to provide to help improve the living standard of the less fortunate in society.

President Johnson Sirleaf thanked the Missionaries of Charity delegation for being part of governmentís reconstruction initiative. The President assured the Sisters of governmentís continued support toward the work of groups like the Missionaries of Charity, who continue to cater to the well being of hundreds of the abandoned and underprivileged in society.
