President Sirleaf Leaves for ECOWAS Summit

Monrovia, Liberia - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf leaves the country Friday, for a two day visit to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, to attend a Summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The Presidentís delegation to the summit includes Foreign Minister, Ambassador George Wallace; Deputy Foreign Minister for International Cooperation, Mr. Conmany Wesseh; and the Minister of State Without Portfolio, Dr. Edward McClain.

During the Presidentís absence from the country, the Cabinet will administer the affairs of State, under the Chairmanship of the Minister of Justice, Cllr. Frances Johnson-Morris, in consultation with the President and the Vice President.

The President returns to the country on Saturday, January 20th.
