Monrovia, Liberia - The United Baptist Church located on the S.D Cooper Road in Paynesville Monday honored Vice President Joseph N. Boakai in recognition of his invaluable services to the state and humanity and his concern for the welfare of the Christian community.

“In recognition of the faithful humanitarian and dedicated services you continue to render the state, Christian community…we the family of the United Baptist Church, have deemed it prudent to award this mission certificate to you,” the certificate awarded him read.

The three-member team from the Church headed by its Senior Pastor, Rev. Joe S. B. Stradder, presented the certificate to Vice President Boakai at his Capitol Building office.

Receiving the certificate, Vice President Boakai thanked officials of the United Baptist Church for the recognition.

He observed that although some people only see the ugly side of things, he was grateful that the United Baptist Church could see his good works and honor him. “We are grateful to those who see good things happening and recognize them,” Vice President Boakai emphasized.

He said the honor accorded him would further inspire him to remain steadfast in contributing to the work of God.
