Request for Expressions of Interest
for the provision of Consultancy Services under the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF)
REDD READINESS PROPOSAL (R-PP)
(Closing date 25 September 2009)
- The development of a national reference scenario for greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation and forest degradation;
- The establishment of the monitoring, reporting and verification system for changes in forest cover and changes in carbon stocks at the national level; and,
- The development and design of a program Monitoring and Evaluation Framework
The Government of Liberia now invites eligible consultants either singly or in association) to indicate their interest in providing these services. Applicants should submit demonstrable evidence of their skill and experience to undertake such work. This should include, but not be limited to:
- Evidence of experience (similar assignments and conditions);
- Availability of appropriate skills among staff;
- In-depth knowledge of current and cutting edge international developments in climate change and climate mitigation strategies, with emphasis on methodological options for reference scenario setting, monitoring REDD, and implementing REDD at the national level;
- Demonstrated knowledge of forest Carbon and REDD methodologies;
