"Taking the government to the people" and decentralization are principles that President Sirleaf strongly believes in. Within the past year, she has made extensive visits to various parts of the country, and has freely interacted with the local dwellers to understand their plight at first hand. Policy areas highlighted during the President's visits to the counties include education, road construction, agriculture, local markets, and the 100 Community Development Project Initiatives.
