Vice President Boakai Speaks at Launch of Water and Sanitation for Africa Foundation - Reiterates Presidentís Sirleaf commitment to the cause of the Water and Sanitation for Africa

Dakar, Senegal -Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has launched the Water and Sanitation for Africa Foundation in Darkar, Senegal on behalf of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf who is also Goodwill Ambassador for Water and Sanitation.

Speaking at the ceremony Wednesday, Vice President Boakai said the African Continent has to do everything possible to bring dignity to its people in the areas of Water and sanitation.
He reiterated Presidentís Sirleaf commitment to the cause of water and sanitation in Africa and pointed out that the Foundation will do everything possible to raise the needed funds in order to make the work of the foundation possible.

Speaking earlier to delegates attending the water and sanitation forum, Vice President Boakai said in order to achieve the targets of the WASH, 3.5% of Africaís GDP needed to be dedicated to the process.

Vice President Boakai warned that Africa must resist the temptation of dampening our courage to press harder in the direction of making them happen.

Tuesday,Vice President Boakai visited the Africa Renaissance monument overlooking the City of Darkar and toured premises of Liberiaís mission in the Senegalese capitol.
Meanwhile Liberiaís Ambassador accredited to Senegal, Dr. Ibrahima D. Kaba has presented his letters of credence to the President of Senegal, Macky Sall a release from the Vice Presidentís Press Secretary George Saah said.
