Monrovia, Liberia - His Excellency President George Manneh Weah today, February 17, 2020, chaired a Cabinet Retreat at the Ministerial Complex to discuss a range of issues bordering on the government's development agenda.

The Cabinet Retreat, the third since the ascendancy of the President, seeks to improve coordination in terms of performance, reporting results, communications and teamwork amongst government ministries, agencies and commissions.

"Let me welcome you to this Retreat.  It is good for us to come back on the drawing board so that, together, we can put ideas together to move the nation forward, " the President said as he welcomed participants to the retreat.

The President asserted that the retreat was necessary to allow participants review activities and progress made in the last year and to  discuss and strategize together on how to face and surmount challenges facing government and the nation.

He said the retreat also provides an opportunity to discuss  the government's development agenda for 2020, stressing, "This is the time for us to recalibrate and move forward."

The Liberian leader also used the occasion to welcome the new Minister of Agriculture following her confirmation by the Liberian Senate recently.
