Second Lady Madam Kartumu Y. Boakai Calls on Liberians to Unite and Reconstruct Their Nation

Monrovia, Liberia - Liberia’s Second Lady, Madam Kartumu Y. Boakai is calling on Liberians to learn a lesson from the years of suffering occasioned the civil conflict and unite to reconstruct and develop their nation.

Mrs. Boakai who is also Executive Director of the Group of ’77, urged her countrymen to use the international goodwill generated by the election of Africa’s first female president to put their country back on the international map, rather than continue to engage in acts that will tarnish the country’s image.

Mrs. Boakai was speaking at the Roberts International Airport Wednesday shortly before departing the country for a week-long visit to the United Kingdom upon the invitation of the Birmingham based Eagle Scientific Limited.

Mrs. Boakai who is being accompanied by Deputy Health Minister Dr. Mohamed Sheriff is expected to discuss health care projects for Liberia with Eagle Scientific Limited which has expressed in establishing a foothold in Liberia

Eagle Scientific is an outfit that engages in health care and other scientific research.
