Vice President Joseph N. Boakai Honored

Monrovia, Liberia - Liberia’s Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has been honored by the U.S based BOOK OF ACTS TABERNACLE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY for sacrificial services to humanity.

A citation read by the President of the Tabernacle International Ministry Bishop H. Wayne Pace said the Board of the Church had closely followed the activities of Vice President Boakai and were pleased to recognize him for his significant contributions to humanity.

Awarding the certificate to Vice President Boakai, the President of the International Training Ministry, Bishop H. Wayne Pace said the Church was aware of the superior services he was rendering the nation, and hoped the Vice President would appreciate the certificate.

The Church presented the certificate of honor to Vice President Boakai at his 12th Street office Wednesday.

Briefing the Vice President about his mission to Liberia earlier, Bishop Wayne Pace disclosed plans by his ministry to establish a university and a distance online learning program in Liberia within two years.

He said they have been watching with keen interest the tremendous strides the new administration was making in the reconstruction program.

In remarks, Vice President Boakai said education is one of the priorities of the Unity Party led government.

He said due to the protracted civil conflict 50 per cent of Liberia’s school age population was out of school either because of lack of schools or lack of opportunities.

Vice President Boakai said the coming of the delegation suggests that things are getting better in Liberia, and assured government’s cooperation in the execution of the church’s plans.
