The high-level Summit, hosted by the Government of Kenya in partnership with the Government of France, has convened Heads of State and Government, representatives of international financial institutions, private sector actors, and development partners to deliberate on key issues affecting Africa’s economic growth and development.

President Boakai participated in the opening session alongside President William Ruto of Kenya, President Emmanuel Macron of France, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, and several African Heads of State and Government.

The Summit’s opening engagements highlighted discussions on strengthening Africa-Europe cooperation, expanding investment opportunities, and advancing development initiatives across the continent.

On the margins of the Summit, President Boakai has also been engaged in a series of bilateral and sideline meetings with fellow leaders and international partners. The discussions have focused on regional cooperation, trade, infrastructure development, investment opportunities, and peace and security matters.

Members of the Liberian delegation attending the summit have participated in several engagements with representatives of partner countries and institutions in support of Liberia’s diplomatic and economic objectives.

President Boakai’s participation forms part of Liberia’s broader engagement with regional and international partners through platforms that promote dialogue on economic development, cooperation, and shared continental priorities.

The Africa Forward Summit is expected to conclude with the adoption of a joint communiqué outlining areas of collaboration and proposed actions among participating countries and institutions.
