Voinjama, Lofa County-President Boakai Dedicates New Student and Faculty Lounge at Lofa County University

Voinjama, Lofa County - On his way to Foya District for his annual Christmas Season visit, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. made a brief but significant stop at the Lofa County University, where he engaged the university’s leadership and faculty in discussions on higher education and development.

The visit underscored the President’s continued connection to his native County and his interest in strengthening educational institutions across Liberia.

While on the Campus, the President officially cut the ribbon to dedicate the newly constructed Student and Faculty Lounge, popularly, named “The Caucus’ Lounge.” The facility, built by the University with support from the Lofa County Legislative Caucus, will provide a conducive space for academic interaction, relaxation, and engagement between students and faculty.

The dedication ceremony brought together members of the Lofa Legislative Caucus, university administrators, and local stakeholders, reflecting strong collaboration between national leadership and local institutions.

Following the dedication, the President held a brief meeting with members of the Lofa County Legislative Caucus and the University Administration. During the meeting at which the President reaffirmed his Administration’s commitment to supporting the Institution as a key pillar for human capital development in the region. He emphasized that investing in education remains central to national progress and assured the university community of the Government’s continued partnership in advancing learning and opportunity for young Liberians.
